Jacob Berkowitz brings more than a decade of experience in news, educational, and promotional writing popularizing scientific research, concepts and events.
Berkowitz founded Quantum Writing in 2000 to meet the burgeoning needs of science-based organizations across North America for superb science writing.
A freelance science journalist, Berkowitz' work appears regularly in the Ottawa Citizen and other papers across Canada. He's also written for magazines such as Report on Business, Ottawa City, Cottage Life, Canadian Living and Canada's leading children's science magazine YES! Mag.
With training in biology and chemistry, Berkowitz was the bilingual research and education spokesperson, and media relations officer for the Canadian Museum of Nature.
A former high-school science and English-media teacher and outdoor educator, Berkowitz brings a strong combination of educational, science and communications knowledge that is ideal for public awareness and education projects.
He is an active member of the National Association of Science Writers (U.S.) and the Canadian Science Writers Association.
